Chapala’s inhabitants can be proud. A new waterfront promenade is under construction in the colorful village and, even though some details are still missing, it is easy to imagine how good it will look once it’s ready.

To start, concrete was replaced with cobblestones and some palm trees were planted. These, together with their river stone frames, are a sign of good taste.

Book and contemplation lovers will be able to relax on one of the wrought iron benches that run along the whole waterfront promenade, especially on week days, when the atmosphere is quiet.

On weekends, families will enjoy the lively atmosphere or even visit the old restaurant Beer Garden that also experienced some renovations.

On the other hand, kids will be able to play on the lake’s shore, where the dirty soil has been replaced with inviting sand.

The area also has a pier, where visitors can rent a boat to go fishing or take a tour around the islands.

In Chapala the construction moves fast and soon both the area’s inhabitants and its visitors will enjoy a new and pleasant space that offers something for every taste. We invite you to visit Chapala and enjoy this fruit of the municipal government's effort to improve the image of this representative town.
