Chilli Cookoff 2010.

The 32nd Mexican Chilli Cookoff is about to start.

 Friday, February 26, Tobolandia will be hosting this event.

The official opening will be on Saturday, February 27 at noon, with the arrival of the parade, which will be led by a group of members from Lake Chapala Shrine Club.


For the opening ceremony, they have invited special guests such as: United States Consul General, Daniel F.Keller, Chapala Mayor, Jesús Cabrera, Chapala Chief of Police, Reynol Contreras.


During the weekend there will be several presentations of Ballet Folklorico, and bands playing a variety of music.


The event will be divided in three categories. Friday is dedicated to the Salsa Contest. Saturday is for home-cooked Chilli, while Sunday is reserved for professional chefs.


This year, for $10 pesos you will be able to judge Chilli and Salsas.


Don't forget that all profits from the event will go towards charity, for children, elderly people and Cruz Roja.


More than 80 sellers will be showing their products such as handcrafts, furniture, clothes and more.


Adults will have to pay $15 pesos and children $5 pesos.
